Create and fix tests with AI
Before using AI, register a connection in Settings → AI Connections and set it as Default. Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and OpenAI-compatible (Chat Completions) APIs are supported. You can check the settings with Try It on the connection screen. OpenAI and Azure OpenAI require a model that supports the Responses API and structured output. For OpenAI-compatible APIs, enter the URL up to …/v1 as the endpoint. The model must support structured output (json_schema) and tool calling; for APIs that don't accept images or PDFs, those are left out when sending.
Have AI create tests
Choose + Create Test → ✨ Create with AI at the top of the screen and describe what you want to check. The AI breaks it down into check items and presents candidates as cards. Select the items to create and choose Start Creating N Items; the AI then operates the target screens and builds the tests. If anything is unclear, it shows a question.
To continue from an existing operation, choose ✨ Branch with AI in that row's details. The AI can search and read the target service's source code and design documents you registered in References.
Attach materials
If you attach specifications, checklists, screenshots, and so on to your request, the AI reads them before creating tests. You can point to the material in your request, for example "Turn the 'Admin' items in the attached test sheet into tests."
You can attach files (PDF, images, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text) or a URL from your browser by dropping them onto the chat. If a dialog is open, drop them onto the dialog to add them.
There are also three ways to attach with buttons.
| Method | What it does |
|---|---|
| 📎 File | Choose a file on this PC. You can also add one by pasting (a screenshot) into the request field |
| 🔗 URL | Specify a URL for Notion, Google Docs / Sheets / Slides, or a public web page |
| Google Drive | Browse your Drive in echo and choose |
If you write a URL in your request, choose Load as Material when it appears to attach it. Just writing the URL does not load its content.
Supported formats
- Files: PDF, images, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), text files (.txt / .md / .csv / .json, etc.; Shift_JIS is also supported)
- For Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, only the text inside is read. If the figures or images matter, attach the material as a PDF. Old formats (.xls / .doc / .ppt) cannot be read
- Notion: the page body and the tables of databases inside it. The content of child pages is not included (attach the URL of each child page you want read separately)
- Google: Docs are read as text, Sheets as all sheets, and Slides as a PDF
- Web pages: the body of pages that open without login. Pages that need JavaScript to render or require login cannot be read, so attach them as a PDF
Notion and Google Drive need a connection first
Register them in Settings → Connections. Only what is shared with the connection can be read.
- Notion: save an integration token, then add that integration to the pages you want read via "…" → "Connections"
- Google Drive: save a service account's JSON key, then share the folders or files you want read with that account's address
Up to 10 items per request. If something is too large, echo tells you right away instead of reading only part of it. Narrow it down to the part you need and attach it again.
Attached materials are sent to the AI (the provider of the default connection) for that one request only. They are not saved in the project folder. Register materials you always want the AI to read in References.
Have AI fix tests
On the result screen of a failed test, press ✨ Fix Test with AI. You can also add a request, such as "It's clicking before the result appears. Add a wait." (optional).
The AI reads the run log (timing of each step), the error, and the screen at the point of failure, and returns a revised version of that test's steps. Compare before and after before applying it. You can rerun the test as you apply it.
